Speed Controllers (ESC)

The Rhino VE40A electronic speed controller with 32-bit MCU has been designed primarily for competitive 1/10, and 1/12 RC rock crawlers, but it is also very suitable for other types of cars and trucks. The preloaded AM32 custom firmware is optimized for RC rock crawlers, but the firmware can be configured for other applications by using the DYS USB-Link (not supplied).

This Bluetooth module makes the programming of your Aerostar RVS G2 HV electronic speed controller extremely easy, simply download the Aerostar App to your Android smartphone or smart device and you are ready to connect and set up your ESC (see under the "Files" tab for the link to the App).

The G2 HV factory defaults are shown in "Bold".

Please note: This Bluetooth module is only compatible with the Aerostar RVS G2 HV ESC range. It is incompatible with the non-HV series of G2 ESCs, earlier versions of the Aerostar RVS HV ESC, or the ZTW brand of ESC..

Following on from the success of the YEP speed controllers we now have a watercooled version for marine use. It has all the fantastic features of the other version but this one also incorporates a water cooling system and the entire ESC has been coated in a water-proof compound for protection against moisture. This device plugs inbetween the Rx and the speed controller. It allows the user to program the BESC according to a series of LED indicators.
it has buttons at the bottom so you can navigate through the menu and select the feature you want, then change it. Its very simple and is much easier than listening to jingles or a series of beeps.

This item is an excellent addition to your flight kit, especially with the new hard plastic case and lets you quickly change the BESCs settings in the field in a much shorter time and with greater assurance that what you have changed is correct and saved into the BESC.

The Aerostar RVS G2 next-generation range of HV Opto brushless speed controllers moves these amazing ESCs up a notch from the ground-breaking original Aerostar RVS HV ESCs. New generation MOSFETs with the aid of the highly efficient cooling fan and finned, aluminum heatsink, ensure that the ESC stays within operating temperatures at all times, and can also safely handle the peak current draw specified. They process much faster due to the high-performance 32bit M4 microprocessor running at 170MHz, and have improved functionality and programmable features. Our RVS (reverse function system) is now instantaneous, with no need for the motor to stop turning, this makes it perfect for EDF braking (reverse thrust), and waterplanes for taxiing, etc. If you don't require the reverse function, simply do not connect the second lead to your receiver, it will then operate as a standard ESC.
