Brushless ESC

Brushless ESC

While an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) is the main category, a brushless ESC is one of its specialized models. Connected to your joystick or throttle, this component manages the electronic commutation of brushless motors. It delivers a better power-to-performance ratio than a standard ESC and is often customizable for advanced features, such as throttle curves and braking. However, to reap the maximum performance, choosing the right brushless ESC becomes crucial.

The Turnigy Plush-32 brushless ESC comes with a 32-bit ARM controller which offers higher resolution, makes it quicker, smoother, and more responsive to your throttle inputs. As you would expect, all the Turnigy Plush-32 are manufactured to the same high-quality standards that you have come to expect with all the Turnigy Plush ESCs.

Now with the updated Rev1.1.0 firmware, these speed controllers offer a few more programming options over previous models. These include motor type, spool-up acceleration, PWM frequency, beacon delay, and an adjustable BEC (this is only available on the 150A). Most of these revisions are self-explanatory but the "Beacon Delay" does require an explanation. The "Beacon Delay" is quite a unique function that will cause the ESC to start "beeping" after a predetermined delay of not using the throttle stick, this can be set via the program card. The loud beeping noise is perfect for finding your model if it gets lost in high grass, standing crops, or in the bush, etc. Please note that you can use your existing Plush 32 programming card but you will not be able to access the revised functions unless you purchase the new Rev1.1.0 programming card.

  9. Aerostar 130A HV RVS G2 32bit (6~14S) Opto Electronic Speed Controller w/Reverse Function
Aerostar 130A HV RVS G2 32bit (6~14S) Opto Electronic Speed Controller w/Reverse Function
    Rating:
    97 % of 100
    $102.99

The Aerostar RVS G2 next-generation range of HV Opto brushless speed controllers moves these amazing ESCs up a notch from the ground-breaking original Aerostar RVS HV ESCs. New generation MOSFETs with the aid of the highly efficient cooling fan and finned, aluminum heatsink, ensure that the ESC stays within operating temperatures at all times, and can also safely handle the peak current draw specified. They process much faster due to the high-performance 32bit M4 microprocessor running at 170MHz, and have improved functionality and programmable features. Our RVS (reverse function system) is now instantaneous, with no need for the motor to stop turning, this makes it perfect for EDF braking (reverse thrust), and waterplanes for taxiing, etc. If you don't require the reverse function, simply do not connect the second lead to your receiver, it will then operate as a standard ESC.
