High gain, high sensitivity RF components are used throughout, this coupled with FLYSKY's latest generation intelligent wireless 2.4GHz AFHDS 3 protocol, enables the receiver to reject interference easily, while maintaining high reception rates, and stable performance. This version 2 FGr4 supports PPM, i-BUS, and 4 PWM data outputs (CH1~CH4), and an input for connecting additional sensors. Another feature of this quality FLYSKY receiver is the ability to handle a wide input voltage, anything from 3.5-12V can be used, and the case has a sealing gasket which makes it water-resistant.

The FGr8B surface micro receiver adopts FLYSKY's third-generation automatic frequency hopping digital system (AFHDS 3), it is perfectly suited to their range of PL18, NB4, and NB4 Lite transmitters. It uses a single antenna bidirectional transmission system that is uniquely designed to install and output PWM/PPM, and iBUS in signals.

The FTM302 adopts FLYSKY's third-generation automatic frequency hopping digital system, AFHDS 3. It uses a single antenna, a bidirectional transmission system in a compact design with support for multiple signal inputs. Supports external power and is compatible with standard JR-type module bays.

The FTM302 offers a long range of up to 3.5km + on the EU default setting of 20dBm (changeable through the management system), low latency, less than 10ms, and allows for online updates and managing the module via the FLYSKY Remote Control Assistant. Power to the module can either be internal, or an external power source of 5~28V can be connected via the built-in XT30 connector. The module also has a built-in fan which automatically turns on if the temperature reaches 45°C to ensure the system remains safe, this can happen when the module is being used with higher voltages.

The RadioMaster RP V2 series of receivers now have a built-in TCXO (Temperature-Compensated Xtal Oscillator). The TCXO ensures high stability and accuracy in frequency control and compensates for temperature variations. This results in consistent and reliable signal reception, even in extreme temperature conditions. It also reduces frequency drift over time, providing long-term frequency stability and preventing signal degradation. This provides a superior performance in demanding environments and enhances the flight experiences.

The RP2 2.4GHz ELRS Nano receivers use the high-performance, revolutionary ExpressLRS open-source system. The Nano receivers were designed by the ExpressLRS development team, and feature the ESP8285 MCU and SX1280 RF chips. WiFi is built-in so that you can easily upgrade the firmware and configure the receiver using your PC or mobile phone. Other features of the RP2 V2 are improved solder pads and a super lightweight built-in ceramic antenna.

The RP3 2.4GHz ELRS Nano receivers use the high-performance, revolutionary ExpressLRS open-source system. The ExpressLRS development team designed the Nano receivers, which feature the ESP8285 MCU and SX1280 RF chips. This offers Lora and FLRC 2.4GHz RF links for incredible range and low latency. WiFi is built-in to easily upgrade the firmware and configure the receiver using your PC or mobile phone.

The receiver features a Skyworks SE2431L providing an LNA for improved receiver performance, a PA providing up to 100mW of telemetry performance, and antenna switching for antenna diversity.. The RP3 Nano receiver is available in either an FCC or a European LBT version, please check the specifications below for the supported protocol.

A strong, well-made neck strap that suits a multitude of transmitters including the FrSky X14 series and many, many more. It includes the Turnigy logo, a quick-release connector, and a sliding, clasp to hook onto the transmitter neck strap attachment.

Our flight report.

Kit fits together well, light sanding of leading and trailing edges required to remove extra foam. We chose to not strengthen the wing with CF tubing, which didnt prove to be an issue, even at full speed high G turns.

We opted to mount the BESC being the battery area, in case the battery needed to be moved forward to adjust CofG, however this wasnt necessary.

EDF was mounted on the stick mount. Stick mount was shortened, with the extra piece used to raise the EDF off the stick to clear the EDF shroud. 2 bolts held the fan unit to the stick, one before and one after the fan blades.

First flight.

We kept CofG 9.5cm from the apex of the wings leading edge. The flycat was hand launched at 3/4 throttle, accelerating quickly. To our surprise, no trimming was required.

The flycat is an extremely fast kit to fly, and required a lot of elevator in turns. We suggest putting the elevator on maximum throws. It needs HUGE amounts of elevator during turns!

Overall an excellent plane which flys smoothly, even on windy days.

We suggest a good lipo pack, as this little hotty will chew through a 1500mAh in only 5 minutes. We used the ZIPPY-R 1800mAh 22C 3S1P pack for around 8 minute flights. As compared to the ZIPPY-Q pack which brought us short at about 7 minutes.
