This great-looking and superb flying AVIOS KingTwin 1700 sports/scale model is based on a small twin-turboprop and is very reminiscent of the type used by the military or civilian charter airlines around the world. The simplistic, yet striking color scheme depicts the type of paint jobs commonly used on civilian propliners.

The KingTwin 1700 is packed full of cool features including LED lights, retracts, and split flaps. The powertrain of 2 x Aerostar 3748-820KV brushless outrunners with Aerostar 40A ESCs was chosen by the AVIOS team after careful testing. This combination of motors, ESCs, contra-rotating props, and a 4S LiPo battery proved to be the optimum setup for power and duration.

The Avios Tundra series of STOL sports planes has enjoyed a massive following over the years, and rightfully so, as it has been one of the best flying RC foam planes ever designed. They have an impressive flight envelope with an amazing STOL performance, and all this is coupled with a great-looking plane. The original 1300mm Tundra was followed sometime later with the launch of the 1700mm Grand Tundra, which encompassed all your favorite features but on a larger scale. This was then followed by the Grand Tundra Plus version, which kept all the original features but had improved wing servo connectors to give a stronger and more reliable connection.

We now take yet another leap forward to the 1700mm Grand Tundra 2. Like all things that evolve, there are areas that, over time, could do with a slight improvement. So, after listening to our customers and pilots, and from our own experiences, the GT2 was born, and it is better than ever. It is now a 6S setup as standard, the tail wheel has been redesigned and strengthened, the main tundra wheels have pneumatic rubber tires, it has a removable plywood battery tray with spring-loaded latch (for quick battery changes), hex-head screws all round, and a new profile, more efficient glass-filled nylon 15x8 propeller. The look of the GT2 has also changed; it has a new, striking design in the popular green and silver color scheme.

Avios continues to bring you great flying, and high-quality RC models of interesting subjects, this theme continues with the Avios Twin Otter STOL (Short Takeoff and Landing) twin-engine plane. The Avios model captures the looks and great flying characteristics of the full-size inspired Twin Otter. The impressive power-to-weight ratio and light wing loading makes for exceptional low-speed handling and STOL flight characteristics.

The Avios Twin Otter is also crammed full of outstanding features, these include a set of large barn door style flaps, counter-rotating props for improved handling, scale outline with detailed surface finish, and scale plastic parts. Other features include a fully sprung, all metal CNC nose strut with servo saver, low bounce soft foam oversized bush wheels, and day bright LED lights throughout.

The list of outstanding features goes on with a set of floats included, these are easily fitted in place of the tricycle landing gear so that you can have even more fun flying from lakes and rivers. The included Aerostar RVS speed controllers make flying from water on the floats so much easier, they allow you to maneuver and taxi even in the more challenging conditions and situations that can be found on inland waters. To further help when flying with the floats fitted are a pair of optional tail fins, these increase the yaw stability caused by the extra drag of the floats. Avios have also included two magnetically held interchangeable nose sections, one short to emulate the "Series 100" Twin Otter, and one long so that you can quickly change the look of your Twin Otter to a "Series 200".

The Tundra has had a massive cult following over the years within the RC community as it's easily one of the best flying electric RC planes on the market with an impressive flight envelope. This was followed sometime later with the launch of the Grand Tundra which encompassed all your favorite features but on a larger scale. The Grand Tundra Plus keeps 99% of the features of the original version, the one change that has been made is to the wing servo connectors, these have a new design to give a stronger and more reliable connection.

While Avios are known the world over for their fantastic semi-scale models of powered airplanes, particularly waterplanes, their experience and dedication to designing and producing great flying models means they are perfectly placed to produce other types as well. The Avios Kobuz is a large, aerobatic, sport-scale model with outstanding flight characteristics of the SZD-21 Kobuz single-seat aerobatic glider, designed and built in Poland.

This flapped, 2200mm wingspan model features clean and aesthetic lines, it will fly fast or slow, has an incredible climb rate, and is very aerobatic with good speed retention in the glide. The AVIOS Albatross HU-16 is a beautiful twin-engine flying boat with a large monohull, and wing floats, the entire underneath of the front portion of the hull is reinforced with plastic. This allows it to happily take the knocks and bangs of using a grass airfield to fly from, but as mentioned before, it really does come into its own when operating from your favorite lake or waterway. Taxi-ing, and lining up for take-off are made all that much easier with the water rudder and the supplied Aerostar forward/reverse water-resistant ESCs. Built-in flaps provide plenty of lift and make the landings and take-offs that much easier and extremely scale-like.

Avios has excelled yet again in bringing you another interesting and high-quality RC model, the Avios PBY Catalina. Avios are at the forefront of water plane technology; they have produced more types than any other manufacturer in this class of model. The Avios model captures the looks and great flying characteristics of the full-size plane with this stand-off scale model of the iconic World War II flying boat. The Catalina was one of the most widely used flying boats of the 2nd World War. It served with every branch of the United States Armed Forces, and the Avios version depicts a Catalina in the stunning US Coast Guard scheme of the early 1940s era.

The incredible Avios C-130 is back with two new hi-viz, vibrant, and lighter in weight color schemes, plus a host of other improvements. The improvements on the V2 are mainly aimed at reducing weight to improve the slow-flight handling characteristics. Like the original version, the C-130 V2 is completed to the highest level of scale detail, has a 1600mm wingspan, and measures over a meter in length.

The B-17 Flying Fortress remains one of the most famous allied bombers of WW2.  Although it served in every theatre of the war, it was in the European Theatre of Operations (ETO) with the renowned 8th Air Force in particular, that this sturdy and well-armed heavy bomber flew its way into the history books.

Building on the success of our original HobbyKing "Memphis Belle" model we have redesigned this huge 1875mm wingspan warbird and now bring to you the best flying and best-looking rendition of this iconic heavy bomber available anywhere in this size. 

Our fantastic model is simple and fast to assemble right out of the box with all of the servos and ESCs pre-installed.  It is made from EPO foam, so it's as tough as you would expect and as the one-piece wing is removable, it is also very practical to transport.

The pre-fitted electric scale wheels retract forward like the real aircraft and are large enough to tackle almost any surface.  There is also plenty of power on tap from the four upgraded 850kv brushless motors. Counter-rotating props make zero torque, smooth take off's, the order of the day and with pre-fitted split flaps, landings are also stress-free.

But it's the attention to detail on this version that is impressive.  Panel lines have been reduced and two new accurate scale color schemes are now available.  Olive drab/grey and overall silver. These two schemes represent the vast majority of B17's that went into action and as an additional feature, we've also included a choice of two 8th Air Force decal sets for each color scheme as well as an optional chin turret so that you can create either an early "F" or later "G" variant. 

As a Flying Fortress, our model also bristles with guns, with top and ball turrets as well as tail, nose, and waist gun positions.  Dummy Wright Cyclone engines are finished with three-blade counter-rotating scale props and hubs and finally, working navigation & landing lights add to the overall realism level of this impressive model.

Beneath the surface, our B-17 has been beefed up with additional wing bracing and of course, she has been test flown extensively and it's in the air that this model really comes into its own.

You will be struck at how easy it is to fly, almost like a powered glider at times and even though it's more than capable of performing non-scale aerobatics including loops and rolls, it is at slower speeds that it looks every bit the heavy bomber.

With its impressive wingspan, low passes translate into a real presence in the air and the sound of those four props driving it forward just adds to the experience.

Our B-17 is a scale pilot's dream model. It's a big airplane that looks great, flies beautifully, and definitely has the "wow" factor that will have heads turning wherever and whenever you fly it.
