The motor is a powerful, high torque open brush gear 540 motor, brushes can be changed when they wear out and this is matched to a 60amp ESC. The Trackstar Crawler ESC has been specifically designed for RC crawlers and brushed motors. It gives an excellent linear response and driving feel, has a low internal resistance, excellent heat dissipation, and multiple protection features (see features below). The Hobbywing EZRUN series of brushless motors have become renowned for their dynamic, strong, output power, build quality, and excellent linearity at low speeds. The Rocket Surpass range of brushless motors is precision-made using the latest manufacturing processes. The heatsink can is CNC machined from a solid billet of 6061 T6 aluminum, high-purity copper is used for the windings for improved efficiency, and oversized bearings are used for durability. The stator has super thin (0.2mm) laminations, and the rotor is then precision balanced for reliability, and ultra-smooth running at maximum RPMs.

The Rocket Surpass 4076-2025KV motor has been specially built for 1/8th scale monster trucks and truggies. This 4-pole, 12-slot high-torque motor is water and dust-proof and features a universal mounting system to fit just about all 1/8th-scale vehicles.
