The Turnigy TWIN X14 is a robust radio system, featuring a unique colour exclusive to HobbyKing. It comes preloaded with HobbyKing planes, ensuring a seamless setup straight out of the box. The TWIN X14 has the capability of utilizing dual 2.4GHz frequencies simultaneously on the same receiver when using the TW mode. This is different from standard active-standby redundancy solutions, as the TW active protocol ensures that both 2.4GHz frequency bands are actively being used by the internal RF module and the receiver simultaneously.

Equipped with two internal 2.4G RF antennas, the TWIN X14 offers expansive multi-directional coverage for transmitting signals. These attributes, along with the exterior antenna, make the Twin system highly reliable with less latency, higher reliability, and faster data rates. In addition to the TW mode, the TWIN X14 also supports ACCST D16 and ACCESS modes, meaning users can benefit from a wide range of compatible receiver options.

The FrSky TW R8 is an 8-channel, dual 2.4GHz frequency receiver with SBUS/FBUS/S.Port, and 8 PWM channels. These TWIN series receivers feature a stable TW protocol that benefits from simultaneously integrating dual active 2.4GHz frequency bands. The TW active-active protocol is different from the general active-standby redundancy solutions used by other manufacturers. This is where one receiver takes over signal control only when the other goes into failsafe mode. With the TW protocol, the dual/twin 2.4GHz frequency bands on the TW series receiver are active all the time.
