This third version of the Durafly DH 100 Vampire follows on from its predecessors to deliver a fantastic even better version of this popular EDF jet. These new improvements include, additional carbon-fiber reinforcement, simplified and lighter landing gear struts, improved ducting and thrust pipe for increased performance, plastic nose for added protection, and plastic retract mount fairings.

This version of the Vampire DH100 is finished in a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) color scheme, this scheme was selected for its history and its orientation when flying. The Yak-11 was designed as an advanced trainer for use by the Soviet Air Force and came into service in 1947. The pilot and instructor sat in tandem under a long canopy that had separate sliding hoods. Although designed as a trainer, Yak-11s were also used in combat during the Korean War, and more recently, highly modified ones have been used very successfully for air racing. The Steadfast was built from scratch as an out-and-out high-performance single-seat racer in Romania in the early 2000s. It was based on the Yak-3, but essentially it looks the same as a Yak-11, so our model is based on our previous Yak-11 model.

The Supermarine Spitfire is the most famous fighter plane from the Second World War, and the Mk.1a defines where its history started.
