After the success of the original H-King FLYCAT 70mm EDF jet, which was a basic aileron, elevator, and throttle-only model, we now have the FLYCAT V2. This new version has an upgraded power setup with a brushless inrunner motor and Aerostar RVS G2 ESC, twin rudders, a set of pre-installed electronic retracts, and a brand-new high-viz color scheme. It retains from the V1 its stunning streamlined looks, agility, performance, and impeccable flying characteristics.

With a new more powerful setup, the 2860-2100KV brushless inrunner motor and the 12-blade EDF unit make the Flycat V2 not only quite a bit faster, but it improves the verticals and it also sounds amazing, just like a real turbine, especially when doing fast, high-speed passes. Coupled with the motor and EDF unit is one of our Aerostar 80A RVS G2 speed controllers, this not only gives you solid reliability, it also offers you the choice of instant reverse. If you are flying from a hard runway this helps shorten the landing run quite considerably when selected after touchdown. Another feature of the FLYCAT V2 is the twin-rudders, these bring in another dimension when flying the V2. It is now able to perform even more jet-like maneuvers including falling leaves and knife-edge, etc, and they also help in the approach to landing and when flying at slower speeds. Flying the Arcus F3A is a dream, the long tail moment, the low wing loading, and the abundance of power give you a stable and predictable airplane. Take-offs require very little rudder input, rolls are crisp and axial, and loops can be as large as you wish. The large propeller provides ample braking action in the downlines to avoid overspeeding, and if you enjoy flying knife-edge, then the Arcus II performs this with ease. No roll or pitch coupling here, just apply a touch of rudder, control the throttle to hold your line, and the Arcus will knife edge until the cows come home. Finally, when the time comes, throttle back, and the Carbon Arcus settles into a nice sink rate for a perfect 3-point landing every time.

The Yak-11 was designed as an advanced trainer for use by the Soviet Air Force and came into service in 1947. The pilot and instructor sat in tandem under a long canopy that had separate sliding hoods. Although designed as a trainer, Yak-11s were also used in combat during the Korean War, and more recently, highly modified ones have been used very successfully for air racing. The Steadfast was built from scratch as an out-and-out high-performance single-seat racer in Romania in the early 2000s. It was based on the Yak-3, but essentially it looks the same as a Yak-11, so our model is based on our previous Yak-11 model.

The H-King Yak Steadfast is supplied with a power train that has been developed for pure speed. Using a 6S LiPo pack, the 5020-550KV brushless motor with the supplied 85A ESC and 16x6 prop will give it an incredible turn of speed of over 100 mph.
