Na het succes van de EFX Racer werd besloten om een mini versie te produceren, zoals ze zeggen, alle goede dingen komen ook in kleine verpakkingen, dus de MFX Racer was geboren. De MFX is ontworpen volgens dezelfde veeleisende normen als zijn grotere broers en biedt nog steeds snelheid, kracht, wendbaarheid en de stabiliteit die je gewend bent van een Durafly model. Het aantal onderdelen en de montagetijd zijn minimaal, de MFX Racer klemt en schroeft gewoon in elkaar in minder tijd dan het kost om een batterij op te laden. De MFX Racer met zijn 4S setup is snel, maar voelt toch uitzonderlijk stabiel aan en geeft de piloot dat locked-in gevoel. Maar in tegenstelling tot de meeste snelheidsmachines heeft hij ook een uitzonderlijk goede langzame besturing. Met zijn 4-kanaals besturing is de MFX Racer ook zeer aerobatisch, met grote loopings, snelle rollen, knife edge, snaps en spins, de MFX Racer kan het allemaal en nog veel meer, zijn enige limiet ben jij de piloot! De MFX heeft 2 vleugelopties (beide worden meegeleverd in de doos), een standaard 815mm optie, of de 715mm clipped wing optie. De standaard vleugelopstelling geeft een veel betere klimsnelheid, terwijl de geknipte vleugelopstelling de rolsnelheid drastisch verhoogt.

The list of outstanding features goes on with a set of floats included, these are easily fitted in place of the tricycle landing gear so that you can have even more fun flying from lakes and rivers. The included Aerostar RVS speed controllers make flying from water on the floats so much easier, they allow you to maneuver and taxi even in the more challenging conditions and situations that can be found on inland waters. To further help when flying with the floats fitted are a pair of optional tail fins, these increase the yaw stability caused by the extra drag of the floats. Avios have also included two magnetically held interchangeable nose sections, one short to emulate the "Series 100" Twin Otter, and one long so that you can quickly change the look of your Twin Otter to a "Series 200".
