Description
The XFly Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX 'Spirit of Kent' is a finely detailed 1200mm wingspan scale warbird crafted from durable EPO foam and finished in an authentic matte livery inspired by the celebrated Spirit of Kent aircraft. Designed to capture the timeless lines of the Mk IX, it features standout scale touches including a 4-blade propeller, accurately profiled canopy, pilot figure, exhaust stacks and wing cannons.
For confident ground handling and presence, the model includes outward-retracting metal main landing gear with shock-absorbing struts, plus day-bright LED wingtip lights for added realism and visibility. Four-panel split flaps support easier take-offs and landings, echoing the full-size aircraft. A 3541-KV745 motor paired with a 40A brushless ESC delivers strong thrust for satisfying scale performance, while a large top hatch simplifies access to radio gear and battery. This version is supplied without transmitter, receiver or battery.
The spacious battery bay is designed to accommodate a 4S 2600–4000mAh LiPo, offering flexibility in flight time and balance. A 6-channel setup (aileron, elevator, throttle, rudder, retracts, flaps) rounds out a well-sorted package that looks as compelling on the ground as it does in the air.
