The Avios Tundra series of STOL sports planes has enjoyed a massive following over the years, and rightfully so, as it has been one of the best flying RC foam planes ever designed. They have an impressive flight envelope with an amazing STOL performance, and all this is coupled with a great-looking plane. The original 1300mm Tundra was followed sometime later with the launch of the 1700mm Grand Tundra, which encompassed all your favorite features but on a larger scale. This was then followed by the Grand Tundra Plus version, which kept all the original features but had improved wing servo connectors to give a stronger and more reliable connection.

We now take yet another leap forward to the 1700mm Grand Tundra 2. Like all things that evolve, there are areas that, over time, could do with a slight improvement. So, after listening to our customers and pilots, and from our own experiences, the GT2 was born, and it is better than ever. It is now a 6S setup as standard, the tail wheel has been redesigned and strengthened, the main tundra wheels have pneumatic rubber tires, it has a removable plywood battery tray with spring-loaded latch (for quick battery changes), hex-head screws all round, and a new profile, more efficient glass-filled nylon 15x8 propeller. The look of the GT2 has also changed; it has a new, striking design in the popular green and silver color scheme.

While Avios are known the world over for their fantastic semi-scale models of powered airplanes, particularly waterplanes, their experience and dedication to designing and producing great flying models means they are perfectly placed to produce other types as well. The Avios Kobuz is a large, aerobatic, sport-scale model with outstanding flight characteristics of the SZD-21 Kobuz single-seat aerobatic glider, designed and built in Poland.

This flapped, 2200mm wingspan model features clean and aesthetic lines, it will fly fast or slow, has an incredible climb rate, and is very aerobatic with good speed retention in the glide. All these things are wrapped up in one big, beautiful package, which is then finished in a stunning hi-viz Swiss color scheme. The XFLY Partenavia P68 is a small, semi-scale twin-engined model that is perfect for flying in small areas such as local parks, sports fields, etc. It has been designed to be extremely easy to fly and assemble, which makes it perfect as an entry-level choice for the novice pilot. We have all had to start learning to fly an RC model at some point, and a stable, high-wing trainer that is very forgiving is what is required. The Dancing Wings Hobby Savage Bobber is a small, lightweight foam model that is quick and simple to build. The full-size Savage Bobber was devised by the Zlin Aviation Company. The Bobber as in the motorcycle world means that it is a stripped-down, customized version of an original. The Savage Bobber is a stripped-down, customized version of its older brother the Savage Classic. It is lighter, more maneuverable, and has a slightly narrower fuselage, and the absence of covering to the rear of the fuselage greatly improves the crosswind handling.

The model is reasonably straightforward to assemble, it is manufactured in pre-painted high-quality EPP foam sheet for the majority of the construction, tough plastic for the open framework rear fuselage, and lightweight balsa for the internal structure. Carbon strips are also included to reinforce and improve the stiffness of the structure. It builds up quickly into a good-looking, fun-to-fly lightweight (only 98g) sports plane that is perfect for indoor or park flying. This ARF kit is supplied with a powerful 1108-4000KV brushless motor, 5A brushless ESC, 5" propeller, and 4 x 2g servos.

The Yak-11 was designed as an advanced trainer for use by the Soviet Air Force and came into service in 1947. The pilot and instructor sat in tandem under a long canopy that had separate sliding hoods. Although designed as a trainer, Yak-11s were also used in combat during the Korean War, and more recently, highly modified ones have been used very successfully for air racing. The Steadfast was built from scratch as an out-and-out high-performance single-seat racer in Romania in the early 2000s. It was based on the Yak-3, but essentially it looks the same as a Yak-11, so our model is based on our previous Yak-11 model.

The H-King Yak Steadfast is supplied with a power train that has been developed for pure speed. Using a 6S LiPo pack, the 5020-550KV brushless motor with the supplied 85A ESC and 16x6 prop will give it an incredible turn of speed of over 100 mph. It is very quick, and seeing a model of this impressive size doing fast pylon turns near the ground is a sight to behold. Aerobatics are also a dream to perform, the rolls are very axial, and looping maneuvers are big due to the abundance of power. The only limitations to the aerobatics it will perform are your flying skills.
