Sein innovatives Design zeichnet sich durch Dinge wie einen freitragenden, nach vorne gepfeilten Flügel, V-Heck-Heckflächen, eine unglaublich starke Konstruktion und atemberaubende Linien aus.

Der Avios Albatross HU-16 ist ein wunderschönes zweimotoriges Flugboot mit einem großen Einrumpf und Flügelschwimmern, die gesamte Unterseite des vorderen Teils des Rumpfes ist mit Kunststoff verstärkt. Dadurch kann es die Stöße und Schläge eines Grasflugplatzes problemlos wegstecken, aber wie bereits erwähnt, kommt es erst richtig zur Geltung, wenn Sie von Ihrem Lieblingssee oder einer Wasserstraße aus fliegen. Mit dem Wasserruder und den mitgelieferten wasserfesten Vorwärts-/Rückwärts-ESCs von Aerostar wird das Taxifliegen und das Aufstellen für den Start sehr viel einfacher. Eingebaute Klappen sorgen für reichlich Auftrieb und machen die Landungen und Starts so viel einfacher und extrem maßstabsgetreu.
