HobbyKing has pushed the boundaries of RC power—from the legendary Blue series to the durable, low-IR of Graphene, and the relentless, hard-hitting delivery of the Rapid. Now, it’s time to ascend to the absolute peak of RC performance. Welcome to APEX. Engineered specifically for the brutal demands of modern FPV drone racing, freestyle, and high-speed RC flight, the APEX series introduces a boxy, near-square cell architecture. Designed to sit perfectly under FPV frames or aircraft fuselages, APEX optimizes your center of gravity while maximizing power density. At the heart of APEX is a pure Cobalt formulation paired with Z-Fold structure. This eliminates the internal resistance bottlenecks found in traditional rolled cells, delivering 180C discharge rate. The APEX maintain rock-solid voltage stability when you punch the throttle hard. Available in versatile capacities from 1100mAh to 4000mAh and configurations spanning 4S to 8S, APEX is the definitive power source for pilots who refuse to compromise. Learn More

Before making a battery purchase, there are a few things you need to consider. Firstly, what are you powering? The type of hobby vehicle you are powering will determine whether you use a soft battery pack or a Hardcase battery pack. For example, if you’re flying an RC Plane or Multirotor Drone, you would normally use a soft Lipo pack. However, if you’re using an RC Car a Hardcase battery pack will prevent the battery from being pierced if you crash.

Secondly, it's important to know what battery capacity (mAh) you need, the cell count (S), and the optimal discharge rate (C rating). This will also be determined by the vehicle you use the battery for.
