The Yak-11 was designed as an advanced trainer for use by the Soviet Air Force and came into service in 1947. The pilot and instructor sat in tandem under a long canopy that had separate sliding hoods. Although designed as a trainer, Yak-11s were also used in combat during the Korean War, and more recently, highly modified ones have been used very successfully for air racing. The Steadfast was built from scratch as an out-and-out high-performance single-seat racer in Romania in the early 2000s. It was based on the Yak-3, but essentially it looks the same as a Yak-11, so our model is based on our previous Yak-11 model.

The H-King Yak Steadfast is supplied with a power train that has been developed for pure speed. The Supermarine Spitfire is the most famous fighter plane from the Second World War, and the Mk.1a defines where its history started. This Avios model represents an early WW2 version that came out just before the "Battle of Britain". It looks stunning and is possibly the best-looking and best-flying foam Spitfire on the market today. At this point, we would like to give thanks to Tom Hunt, whose drawings the Avios Spitfire Mk.1a is based on, and it is one of the main reasons why this Avios Spitfire (just like its smaller brother from Durafly) flies so well.. The Mk.1a has that truly iconic shape and lines of the Supermarine Spitfire as it was seen through the eyes of its original designer, R.J. Mitchell. The upper surfaces have a brand new, authentic early WW2 camouflage color scheme, with a black and white scheme underneath. This scheme was used from 1938 and during the "Phony War" on RAF fighters to help the observation of friendly aircraft from the ground. The Avios Spitfire Mk.1a is a poignant and fitting tribute to the pilots who flew them during these early years of aerial combat.

This version of the Vampire DH100 is finished in a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) color scheme, this scheme was selected for its history and its orientation when flying. The RCAF obtained their Vampires in late 1948, and being their Air Force's first-ever jet fighter, they were an instant hit with the RCAF aircrew and pilots.
