The full-size L-39 jet was designed in the Czech Republic as a high-performance jet trainer for performing basic to advanced pilot training. It was the first trainer aircraft in the world to be equipped with a turbofan.

This third version of the Durafly DH 100 Vampire follows on from its predecessors to deliver a fantastic even better version of this popular EDF jet. This version of the Vampire DH100 is finished in a Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) color scheme, this scheme was selected for its history and its orientation when flying. The RCAF obtained their Vampires in late 1948, and being their Air Force's first-ever jet fighter, they were an instant hit with the RCAF aircrew and pilots. It is now able to perform even more jet-like maneuvers including falling leaves and knife-edge, etc, and they also help in the approach to landing and when flying at slower speeds. The new high-viz color scheme not only looks great, but it stands out well in the sky which helps orientation when flying big, fast aerobatic maneuvers. Last but not least on the V2 there is no need for hand-launching, it comes with a set of pre-installed grass-capable electronic retracts. These robust and reliable retracts enable smooth take-offs and landings on hard and grass runways
